What is the difference between Botox and Newtox?
Botox and Jeuveau are both a neurotoxin injected into the muscles used to decrease fine lines and unwanted wrinkles. We typically administer these in the forehead, in between the eyebrows, crows feet and upper lip lines. These injections help relax the muscles and give you a softer appearance.
Both can last 3-6 months, average about 4 months. Both kick in and start working anywhere from 3-7 days.
Botox has been around the longest and is well known. Jeuveau (Newtox) is one of the newer products out and has the potential of kicking in faster than Botox’s other competitors and lasting 2 weeks longer than its competitors.
How many units of Botox do I need?
Every patient is different in how much they need of course, on average a person may need 15-30 units depending on the area of concern.
How long does Botox last?
Botox last for 3 – 6 months (average of 4 months)
How long does Lip Fillers last?
Fillers last for 6 months to one year.
What kind of products do we use?
We use Allergan and Evolus products. (Juvederm and Botox from Allergan, and Newtox from Evolus)
Does getting Botox hurt?
There is very minimal if any pain.
Is there a deposit required to make a cosmetic appointment?
Yes, we require a $30 deposit prior to your appointment. This is to ensure that your appointment is secured in the office as well as to see our nurse practitioner clear you.
Do you use anything to numb the area for fillers?
We use a topical numbing cream to numb the area to help reduce any pain.
How long does it take to get Botox?
The process generally takes 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How long does it take to do fillers?
The process generally takes 1 hour to 1.5 hours
Is there any aftercare for botox or fillers?
Yes, you will be provided with a paper that lists the aftercare procedures as well as being informed by the nurse verbally.
